I love bold colorful wedding palettes, but there’s something to be said about a simple, earthy palette as well. Irene Jones of IJ Photo, and her group of vendor friends took a clean, earthy palette, set it against a modern venue, and brought the outside in, to create an springtime urban paper forest. Here is some insight on the shoot from Irene of IJ Photo:
Paper actually became a very big part of the design. All of the escort cards had a unique cut out that reflected the tree branch design on the wedding dress’s sash. This same punch was used on the envelopes for the invitations (also in Kraft brown) and in signage at the guestbook table.
Other elements included a guest book tree where guests are invited to use a Polaroid camera and leave a selfie and love note hanging on the branches for the couple. We also had a simple candy bar and stunning white wedding cake. The overall goal of our shoot was to create something that any bride could DIY but avoided looking rustic or too traditional, like many DIY weddings do. We love the result and hope that you do as well!
