Happy day my sweets! I hope your weekend is going well. Isn’t it grand that spring is swiftly approaching? I for one can’t wait; I have had enough of the cold weather, ugh! Today’s wedding, submitted by Anne Nunn Photographers, will sure get you in the springtime spirit. To me the couple’s wedding palette of grey and yellow is a just perfect for a late March wedding.
From the Photographer: Hannah and Aaron were married at a Resort on the beautiful Willamette River on March 24th, and they did a beautiful job of creating an “outdoor” feel within an indoor space. The tables were decorated with elegant garden decor and flowers, there were flowers throughout the reception and ceremony and the additions of burlap were perfect.
Family traveled from parts of the US and as far as Canada, and the day truly felt like a close, family gathering. And in addition to the close family, Hannah wore her Grandma’s wedding dress that she had worn almost exactly 50 years ago. It fit her perfectly and was so sweet for her Grandma to see her in her own wedding dress.
From the Bride, Hannah:
How did you meet?
Aaron and I met at a bbq. He was working at a farm for the summer with my brother. We got to know each other as friends long before we started dating, and I think that definitely did awesome things for our relationship, because we were friends first.
What was your Wedding Planning, Inspiration and Style?
I love the vintage look. I knew that I wanted the centerpieces to be different and to have a homey feel.
What was your Favorite memory of the day?
There are so many sweet memories from our wedding day that I love. I loved walking down the aisle to him. I loved taking communion and praying together. I love how my dad cried happy tears while giving a toast. I loved being surrounded by family and friends. I love how many of those and friends helped make the day come together so beautifully, and how we all had so much fun enjoying it together. It was so so special.
Do You have any advice for other brides?
My advice to other brides would be this: don’t get too stressed about the day. Its a day, and at the end of the day you’ll be married, and you’ll get to have lots and lots of wonderful days with him.
