Nichole & Ryan’s fall wedding at Legacy Hill Farm in Welch, MN, captured by Eileen K Photography, is absolute rustic charm enveloped in vibrant fall colors. Honestly, I just adore their sweet countryside outdoor wedding & all its pretty fall details. For one I just love, love, love Nichole’s dress, the lacy pattern on the back is just divine. And when you throw in a colorful trio of teal, orange & crimson into the mix with pumpkins & hay bales + s’mores & donuts, you have one smitten wedding blogger in fall wedding heaven.
From the bride, Nichole:
How did you meet?
We met playing softball. We were both subbing for a mutual friend’s team and kept in touch in the off season. The following summer became official teammates and started dating shortly thereafter.
Who proposed marriage and how did that proposal happen?
We moved to Australia in March 2014. Ryan proposed to me in November 2015 at the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge during a bridge climb excursion.
How did you decide on your venue?
We knew we wanted an outdoor, rustic, fall wedding that showed off the MN fall colors. We immediately fell in love with Legacy Hill Farm when we visited in the fall of 2015. The space is absolutely amazing.
Where did you get the inspiration for your color palette and design?
Fall seasonal colors
Three things you’re glad you did.
1. Enlisted the help of a day of Coordinator, he was such a great help and kept me calm all day!
2. Had hair and makeup done on site…eliminated the stress of trying to get to the venue on time.
3. DONUTS…our guests loved them and still talk about how great they were.
What are some of your favorite memories of the day?
Ryan created a scavenger hunt for me around the bridal suite! Our first look was amazing…we used the barn doors at the entrance of the ceremony site…it was perfect. Turning around at the ceremony and seeing all of our friends and family behind us, supporting us. Our first dance, thoughtful speeches, a surprise Skype session with Ryan’s friend in Norway, the chilly fall weather, the list goes on and on.
Do You have any advice for other brides?
Enlist as much help as you can. Don’t try to do everything yourself. Its your day…enjoy it! Delegate decision making to someone else and spend the day making amazing memories with your new spouse, friends and family!
