For me, there’s nothing more soft & airy than a palette inspired by Pantone’s color of the year 2016, Serenity & Rose Quartz. A dusty blue and a pale pink paired together is pure pastel romance at its finest. Katie & Alec Photography and their amazing team of vendors incorporated this dreamy duo into their “Urban Summer Wedding” styled inspiration, combing light and airy summer colors with an urban backdrop filled with natural light, white brick walls, and touches of rose gold.
From the photographer, Katie & Alec Photography: Nothing says “urban wedding” or reaches to the heart of millennials than a loft wedding! The colors are loosely based on the Pantone colors of the year, Serenity Blue and Rose Quartz, and they can be found in every detail from the nail-polish our bride wore, to the timeless perfume bottle, all the way to the ribbon on the bouquet.
We wanted to encompass the millennial brides with a feminine feel of a modern color scheme and the bright white brick of Bridgestreet Gallery and Loft, that showed off the gorgeous natural light let in through sky-light windows in the ceiling of the Loft…
For this shoot we wanted it to be relaxed and modern, which meant having a more relaxed up-do and loose florals….
The team we assembled includes vendors that are all local to Birmingham and are some of the best in the State. The florist, Cece of Cece’s Designs is well known for her fun and loose bouquets, as well as her affinity for the color pink, which worked perfectly with our theme!
The cake was set to look simple and fun with the serenity blue stripes and the simple pink florals to complement the bouquet and table garland…
Our couple is a real couple from Birmingham who actually got married the following month!
