Being a self-proclaimed flower fanatic I was super excited when Luna Bella Photography submitted a country themed wedding featuring brilliant yellow sunflowers. Jacklyn & Joshua’s DIY backyard wedding is chock-full of country chic style, striking sunflowers, and fun details. I love how they add hints of mint green to their color scheme. They even had a life-size Jenga , and homemade corn hole game for entertainment – how fun!
The proposal from the bride, Jacklyn:
Josh and I went to a weekend vacation to Sanibel Island and our hotel had a balcony facing the beach. He and I had planned to watch the sunset on the balcony that evening. As I was showering Josh had set up chairs & champagne for us to watch the sunset. While Josh and I were sitting on the balcony watching the sunset his cellphone which was sitting to the left of me on a table began ringing, he then asked if I could hand him his phone while looking confused questioning who would be calling him. I turned my back to him grab his phone and on the screen of the phone he had his best friends contact name changed to “Will You Marry Me” when I saw this I immediately turned around and saw Josh holding my beautiful ring.
His proposal was very creative because he had to coordinate with his best friend to call him at a specific time so that the phone would ring and the phone would say “Will You Marry Me”
