Let me just start off by saying that Rachel & Brad’s wedding at Camrose Hill Flower Farm is one of the prettiest fall weddings I’ve seen. A dreamy Minnesota garden setting and a pretty palette of blue, pink & peach that perfectly complements the colors of their fall backdrop – makes their swoon-worthy wedding an absolute dream. And I love all the little extra fall details: blankets for the guests made by the bride’s mother, pumpkins filled with an assortment of fall wild flowers, and escort cards decorated with tiny, glittery, pumpkin cutouts. I could go on, and on, about the love affair I have for this wedding. But I won’t. I’ll let the amazing images captured by Eileen K Photography ,found below, speak for themselves.
From the bride, Rachel:
How did you meet?
Brad and I met the summer after he graduated high school. We dated but went separate ways in college only to end up back together again in the end!
Who proposed marriage and how did that proposal happen?
Brad proposed on Christmas Day of 2015. He made a scavenger hunt for me to open my Christmas gifts. My last clue led me to the best gift ever- Brad on one knee!
How did you decide on your venue?
We knew the style of venue we wanted. So we did our research and found Camrose Hill. We visited the venue and we knew that was where we were getting married. We talked the whole way home about how perfect it was and booked it the next day!
Where did you get the inspiration for your color palette and design?
We always wanted a fall wedding. My inspiration for our color palette came from the season. I wanted pumpkins and the trees to be changing color so my colors were chosen to compliment those.
Three things you’re glad you did.
First, I am so glad I hired a wedding coordinator. Kellie Kuboy from Rustic Elegance is THE best.
Second, I am so glad I knew our officiant. We chose our high school youth group pastor for our officiant/pastor. It was the best decision because our wedding was the most intimate and personalized experience.
Last, I am glad we had a small wedding. It is all about your taste and personality but we had around 150 people and it was the perfect size! I still didn’t get to talk to everyone but I felt like I got to see a lot of my guests and for more than just a second. It was fun and intimate!
What are some of your favorite memories of the day?
Some of my favorite things of the day was: having all the girls get ready together in one spot- such fun memories.
The food! We had a relaxed dinner- pulled pork, Mac n cheese, and beans. Guests said it was some of their favorite wedding food.
The speeches! Especially from our fathers and my now sister-in-law and brother-in-law. They made the most hilarious and cute poem!
Do You have any advice for other brides?
My advice to other brides is probably something they have already heard but it’s the best thing you can do…. RELAX! My wedding day I was calm, collected, and had FUN! Best decision I made throughout the whole process was to not let anything bring down how happy I was to marry my best friend. Soak it all in! It’s over in a flash!
