Haley & Dane were married last Oct, but that doesn’t mean we can’t bask in the loveliness of their fall wedding in the midst of summer. In fact fall weddings are just as popular as spring weddings, and why wouldn’t they be? Beautiful fall foliage, natural rustic surroundings and comfortable temps – need I say more?
KC Photography was on hand to snap photos of this darling couple’s special day. Read their comments below:
In every wedding photographer’s career there is a wedding that really stands out as the first wedding they truly felt turned out beautiful. Or at least that’s how I felt about Dane and Haley’s wedding day. I had booked several weddings before theirs, and they turned out great too, but there was something about Dane and Haley’s wedding that made me feel like I was finally doing what I was meant to be doing. When I was download the images from this wedding I immediately felt like I had the “money shot” and that didn’t happen a lot before. I love this wedding for so many reasons and I love someone else wants to show it off as much as I do.
From the Bride, Haley:
How did you meet?
Dane played little league football with my cousin, so we knew each other growing up. We would see each other off and on at parties and get – togethers throughout the years, then we reconnected during college on New Year’s eve 2009. I was out with friends and Dane was on a party bus that happened to stop at the bar where I was at. We have talked to each other every day since that night 🙂
What were your Wedding Planning, Inspiration and Style?
I always wanted a fall wedding because of all the beautiful colors that time of the year brings. We liked the rustic look because it fits both of our personalities. We chose the sangria dresses for the girls because it popped against the fall colors in the background of the pictures. It definitely helped having a great wedding planner bring our inspirations to light!
What are some of your favorite memories of the day?
Well first off marrying my best friend was the best part of the day! During the ceremony, Dane also surprised my daughter, Hannah, with vows that he wrote to her. They were amazing and made everybody cry! Having our families and friends there to help us celebrate one of the best days of our lives!
Do You have any advice for other brides?
I would tell other brides to remember that the day is all about the bride and groom and not everyone else… so do things that make them happy and not to worry about pleasing every guest.
