I just love the following featured wedding submitted by Jen Brazeal Photography, its bright bold and full of summer goodness. Marianna & Jorge’s beautiful outdoor wedding at Rock Lake Ranch in Anderson, Texas , is bursting with vibrant colorful shades of pink and orange.
From the Photographer: They really made their wedding unique with a water color artist and lovely venue! From fans and colorful umbrellas to a Mexican candy bar they though of it all!
From the Bride, Marianna:
How did you meet?
We met through a common friend, while studying my Master’s at A&M University. She introduced us at a dinner, but at that time we only shared our e-mails. Jorge added me as a friend on Facebook and I kept him as a contact there. A year later, another friend asked me if I knew some engineers because she needed information about the civil engineering graduate program at A&M. The only contact I had related to anything from the Engineering College was Jorge (although he is an Electrical Engineering, but back then I didn’t know those majors were that different) , so I contacted him asking for information or contacts in the Civil Engineering Department, and he assured he had some friend’s there! Then, since I wanted my friend to meet him to talk about this, we invite him to a bbq that weekend. Well, my friend talked a little bit to him and found out he wasn’t really having that many contacts as he said, and all he wanted was to meet me, and talk to me! All night he was talking to me, taking care of me, and being charming as he is. We started dating the night after that bbq. And of course, my friend had to keep looking for help, but not with me or him anymore, hahaha!
What were your Wedding Planning, Inspiration and Style?
I wanted to use vibrant colors, very ‘summery’, hot, fun and vivid. As Latin’s as we are, we like color! And we wanted to show how we like to party, loud, long and vibrant!
What are some of your favorite memories of the day?
I have a lot of memories of the day, one of my favorites is that my mom and sisters fixed all the bouquets that morning; I loved having them using some of their spare time just to please me making those as I wanted! But my favorite is when I saw Jorge waiting for me at the altar, his eyes were so beautiful and at that moment, all the nervousness got erased, all the rushing, the work, the sweat, everything we did for that wedding, everything was there, my payday on those eyes!
Do You have any advice for other brides?
Yes, don’t worry about very little details that are wrong, probably you are the only one who will notice. Be sure everyone has something to drink, no matter if it’s alcoholic or not! And thank your parents, and your bridal party from the deep of your heart, I thanked my mother very early in the morning, just when I woke up, I gave her a big kiss and hug, and after that, the roller coaster of the day-of began.
