Brandy Angel Photography is sharing another gorgeous southern wedding with us today that she has skillfully captured. The Corry House in Union Point, GA, set the scene for the idyllic southern fairy tale. Autumn & Diondre ceremony took place in the shade of a towering forest with crisp leaves under foot and a canopy of twinkling lights above. Swoon-worthy bouquets of orange blooms tipped with a delicate pink – surrounded by the most delightful greenery – made their debut and added a boost of color to a mostly neutral theme. And there is something to be said about a will lit, perfectly draped, barn reception with rustic touches.
From the photographer, Brandy Angel: This wedding was so stunning in it’s perfect simplicity. They truly proved that you don’t have to go over the top to showcase your love and tell your story. I loved all the details that made this wedding special to Autumn and Diondre. You could truly see the love they had for one another and their eagerness to start their life together.
From the bride, Autumn:
How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.
Diondre and I met through some friends. In December 2013, I flew from Georgia to Denver to meet him and by March we were dating. In April 2016 he moved to Kentucky for a preaching job, and about 5 months later I moved there so we could date in the same town. We flew to Denver to see his family for Christmas, but little did I know he had a surprise Christmas gift waiting for me! It was pretty cool to share that moment with his family since we’re so far from them but live so close to mine.
What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?
I couldn’t wait for him to see me walk down the aisle, for us to say our vows, and to be announced husband and wife. I thought those were all really special moments.
Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
I think it’s good to know what you want, but don’t be afraid to keep an open mind. Feel free to use other weddings as inspiration, but don’t allow yourself to feel pressured or like you don’t measure up. Your wedding is your special day and should represent you and your new spouse. Definitely discuss budget and responsibilities with anyone involved in the planning process! Communication is key in making sure it goes smoothly. And remember that the wedding is one day in the rest of your life. If something goes wrong, don’t panic. You’ll probably laugh about it later!
