If you have been have been following Wedding Colors for a while you may have noticed that I’m super fond of rustic barn weddings. I just love how relaxed and cozy they are with all its rustic elements & country style, it simple makes me swoon. And guess what my sweets! I have another beaut of a rustic barn wedding to share! Newlyweds, Ashlyn & Seth, recently had a beautiful barn wedding at Antique Acres, a rustic wedding venue near Athens, Georgia, and the talented Brandy Angel, of Brandy Angel Photography, was there to capture all the fabulous details including bridesmaids in mint, a cowboy boot clad wedding party , delicious bottles of Coca-Cola, cookie cakes and of course burlap & lace!
From the Bride, Ashlyn:
How did you meet?
We met on a plane…I was his flight attendant, he was headed to Texas to see some friends. Little did he know that’d be the trip of his lifetime! He tried to get my attention a few times, and I made casual conversation but was more focused on working. Finally when I had a break, I went to the back of the plane to sit down. He asked me to sit down and watch Duck Dynasty with him. So, I did, and that was it! 20 minutes later we were both smitten, and 2 weeks later he took me out on our first date. We just clicked and knew right off the bat this was “it”. 8 months later he proposed and 6 months after that we got married! What a wonderful whirlwind the past year & a half has been.
Our wedding was near Athens, Georgia in a cute barn. Antique Acres was the name of the venue. When planning our wedding we knew we needed to incorporate my favorite colors, our cowboy boots, and Seth’s beloved coca-cola! We added personal touches such as having cookie cakes because I have always preferred cookies to cake. Everything went together better than we could imagine and it turned out perfectly!
