This next wedding captured by Limelight Photography is beyond amazing! Lindsay & Kris provided, which could be best described as, a surreal & unique experience for their wedding guests with an aquarium wedding at The Florida Aquarium. It just so happens that one of my all-time favorite spots to visit at the zoo is the coral reef exhibit. I could set in their all day watching the under-the-sea aquatic life swim along in their own world. I never once imagined how wonderful it would be to have it as a backdrop for a wedding. Not only is it blissfully serene, but it also décor and entertainment all in one! The couple selected a peacock wedding palette of teal, purple, and light green as their wedding colors, and I couldn’t imagine a better complementary palette for their special day.
From the bride, Lindsay:
How did you meet?
Kris and I met one night when we were both out getting drinks with friends after a long day at work. We just got to talking, exchanged numbers at the end of the evening, and were basically inseparable after that. We had our first official date on October 7, 2010.
What were your Wedding Planning Inspiration and Style?
Our colors for our wedding were inspired by a peacock feather – purple, teal, light green. As for everything at the wedding, we saw a lot of different ideas on Pinterest, wedding blogs, and in magazines. We tried to incorporate as many ideas as we could without everything looking disjointed. We wanted the night to be relaxed and an enjoyable party for all of our guests.
What are some of your favorite memories of the day?
Favorite memories of the day – hanging out with my bridesmaids before the ceremony (we had an awesome suite at the Westin – Tampa Harbour Island) and having our hair and makeup done together, seeing a couple reactions to the penguins walking down the aisle before I came out at the ceremony, seeing Kris for the first time and the smile on his face, Kris’s face when he saw his surprise, the Chicago-themed groom’s cake, and getting to see friends and family we hadn’t seen in a while.
Do You have any advice for other brides?
My advice for brides – just relax and enjoy the day. Take everything in and enjoy as much as you can – the day, the night, the wedding all fly by. There are likely to be a couple of hiccups, but none of that matters.
