As a self-proclaimed Disney fan, Ariel Kaitlin Photography set out to create a styled wedding shoot centered on her favorite movie, Tangled. She joined forces with Emily Katherine Events, to design a swoon-worthy lilac and gold Tangled – inspired wedding shoot with little details meant to send a generous nod to the movie. With a troop of talented vendors by their side, a fairy tale wedding filled with pretty blooms, elegant details and pure dreaminess was brought to life.
A little backdrop: In Disney’s 2010 animation, Tangled, a magic golden flower made from a single drop of sunlight sets the scene for an enchanted Disney fairy tale featuring the golden haired princess, Rapunzel. In true Rapunzel fashion, she is taken by Gothel and locked away in a hidden tower for 18 years. Besides occasional visits from Gothel, a chameleon named Pascal is Rapunzel’s only friend. It just takes a chance encounter with a thief named Flynn that catapults an adventure to see the lights in the sky released each year on her birthday, not knowing the lights are lanterns released in honor of her return.
From the photographer: We planned a bunch of little details from the movie from the obvious frying pan, to decorating with lanterns, all the way to having cupcakes for the small scene where Rapunzel and Flynn are hiding from the guards in the castle courtyard. We even secured a bearded dragon to play the role of Pascal, Rapunzel’s trusty sidekick.
I absolutely love how these images turned out. There are a bunch of little details particularly that shout out to the movie and I believe everyone had an absolute blast!
