Hello all, I hope you’re having a good weekend so far. I thought I would share a wedding post with you all before I head out for the day. Today I have a colorful wedding, photographed by Gabrielle Orcutt Photography, in neon hues of lime green and hot pink.
From the Photographer: Leslie and Shane’s wedding goes down in history as one of the shortest ceremonies and most unique! An outdoor ceremony with a lush green grass aisle did not mix well with hot pink stilettos. No worries, just go down the aisle barefoot! The 15 minute ceremony concluded with a round of shots for all guests to toast to the newly weddings, a tradition stemming from their Virginian friends. Guests were also not disappointed with the reception. They were greeted with a tower cake featuring a giant upside down martini glass and each guest indulged in cupcakes baked in martini glasses, all in the signature hot pink and lime green color motif.
From the Bride, Leslie:
How did you meet?
We actually met at Penn State while we were both going to college! 🙂
What was your Wedding Planning, Inspiration and Style?
Our planning was pretty non-existant! We love Apple Blossom (a festival in Winchester Virginia!) and go every year! The pink and green theme is a nod to that 🙂
What was your Favorite memory of the day?
My favorite memories of the day were doing our toast with Shane’s great grandfather wine and doing “Shot time” with our Virginia friends RIGHT after we said I do! 🙂
Do You have any advice for other brides?
The only advice I have for other brides is to relax! I took all the help I could get and even ended up letting some of my friends make decisions! I was just so ahappy to be able to have this day I didnt care about much else! Thank you so much!
