Samantha & Hank knew when they visited Sassi, a beautiful Italian villa style location in Scottsdale, Arizona; they had found their wedding venue. The combination of rustic style with an overwhelming ambiance of romance that Sassi provides was a perfect match for this adorable couple. Not to mention they picked a lovely hued palette of purple, with an emphasis on lavender, to complement their wedding surroundings. I really love how the reception was a glow with dazzling displays of floating candles – so pretty.
Special thanks go to Laura Segall Photography for allowing us to share this beautiful wedding with you all today!
From the Bride, Samantha:
How did you meet?
Hank and I met through a mutual friend at the gym. I went to the gym where she worked out and Hank was a trainer there. The rest fell into place 🙂
What were your Wedding Planning, Inspiration and Style?
I did look at Pinterest and Etsy for ideas. We knew we wanted to do some unique things and we wanted rustic and romantic as our style. Our first visit to Sassi and we fell in love with the place. We knew we had to have our wedding there. Our guest book we got from Etsy and it was a wood board with our picture carved into it that our guests could sign. Our seating chart were plantable cards also from Etsy. So we tried to do a few unique things.
I was very lucky that Hank wanted to be very involved. We have very similar tastes which helped the planning process. All of our vendors were great to work with and made the day a breeze.
What are some of your favorite memories of the day?
Our flower girl and ring bearer were both very young so we had them walk down with the groom because of the stairs at Sassi and it was the cutest thing. Our first dance tops the list. Being surrounded by all those that have been on the journey with us made the day complete.
Do You have any advice for other brides?
My advice to future brides is don’t sweat the small stuff. If everything isn’t perfect you are the only one that will know, the guests will not realize that something may not be right. And if something does go wrong it will be a great story to tell the grandkids 🙂
