Today I have another gorgeous fall wedding to share captured by Walter Wilson Studios. Alyson & Jason celebrated their wedding day at the exquisite Darlington House in La Jolla, California. I truly think this is the most elegant fall wedding I have seen yet. And I just love the idea of a caramel apple bar, yum!
From the Bride: Fall is our favorite season and it is especially lovely in San Diego, so we chose a November wedding. In 2011, Jason and I traveled to Spain and Greece – where we got engaged. We loved the spanish architecture, so we selected an andalusian style villa for our reception in La Jolla. While touring Greece, we learned that the pomegranate symbolize fertility, abundance and good luck. Therefore, it was only fitting for us to incorporate them in our decor. The pomegranate inspired our autumn color palette of burgundy, ivory, brown, champagne and gold.
From the Bride: Jason and I met while playing in the drumline in our high school marching band in Corpus Christi, Texas. We dated throughout high school and after a break during our college years, we resumed dating. Shortly thereafter, we moved to San Diego.
From the Bride, Alyson :
What was your Favorite memory of the day?
There were so many wonderful memories that day, but if I had to choose one, it would be the Father-Daughter dance. My father and I have an interesting sense of humor, so during our traditional slowdance, we surprised our guests with our rendition of “My Little Buttercup” from the movie, The Three Amigos!. We had so much fun and the crowd loved it!
Do You have any advice for other brides?
Do not hestitate to ask your friends and family for help. Weddings are a collaborative event, so try not to put everything on your shoulders. Relax and cherish every moment. HAVE FUN!!!
