Today I have a lovely spring wedding, photographed by Root Photography, to share with you all. Kristen & Rob started the day with a darling church ceremony and continued the day with a reception at the charming Winter Park Farmers Market, in Winter Park, Florida. I really love their wedding color choice of vibrant cobalt blue and sunny yellow.
From the Bride: We love history, and all things old so the Farmers Market was really the perfect venue. We took inspiration from the space and its location, using mason jars for vases on the tables, and water color scenes from Winter Park to identify the reception tables. I would say our wedding style was a little bit vintage and a little bit traditional.
How we met – Giving new meaning to the term “internet dating,” we met through YouTube. Because of a mutual friend, I found Rob’s travel vlogs on YouTube and immediately subscribed. Rob noticed I was a Floridian and lived near his favorite place on earth (Disney!) and Rob messaged me. Once we began talking we realized how much we had in common and the rest, as they say, is history!
My favorite memory of the day – Rob’s super secret flash mob involving the bridal party, his family and friends just after the groom/mother dance. It was such a surprise! And it got everyone on the dance floor and helped lead to a fantastic evening.
My advice to future brides – Rob’s best lady told me the night of our rehearsal dinner that no matter what happened on our wedding day, the most important thing to remember is that I was marrying my best friend. Those words were the best advice I was given, without a doubt. Enjoy the day and try and take time to step back and soak it all in. It goes by so fast!
