Hilary & Matt spent the day strolling around The Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills, accompanied by photographer The Big Affair, for an engagement session that looks like it just popped out of a fairy tale. Hilary looks absolutely stunning in her Deborah Lindquist gown. Not only is it a gorgeous dress- the coral adds the right pop of color, and is perfect match for her ivory complexion.
From the Bride-to-Be Hilary:
How did you meet?
We met in LA at the bar my fiance works at. It’s called R Bar and I had a friend that was friends with the owner, Laura. So he got me in the door to train as a bartender to work there and Matt was the guy who trained me! I never ended up working there, but Matt and I started dating.
After about a year and a half of dating Matt proposed. We had gone back to Chicago (where I’m from originally) for the summer and Matt took me on a picnic on my birthday. He left in the morning claiming he needed to get stuff from Trader Joe’s, but he actually drove to my dad’s house to ask for my hand. He came back and took me on the picnic and the ring was hidden in side the last gift I opened.
We’re getting married on July 26th at his parents house on Orcas Island in the San Juan islands off the coast of Seattle/Washington. It’s a very rustic, cozy, outdoor themed wedding. Simple and pretty. And Laura is officiating our wedding.
