I just couldn’t pass up today’s styled inspiration. Once I seen geodes & gemstones in the title I knew I was even for a treat. Just like most women, I’m eyes seem to be captured by the sparkly raw texture of these natural stones. And the colors – some many vivid colors, not to mention opulent clear crystals that display colorful prisms of light with each ray that touches it. Christine Quarte Photography took the beauty of these eye-catching raw crystal’s and used it as her bases for today’s beautiful wedding inspiration featuring serene purple and blue hues and natures raw beauty.
From Christine Quarte Photography: One thing I love about crystals and gemstones are their rough edges… their imperfections. It reminds me of people, our lives, and the love we give each other. Raw, imperfect, and beautiful. I’ve always wanted to do a theme centered about crystals – so I pulled together a styled shoot themed “geodes + gemstones” with a classy color elements (navy and a rich purple, mixed with light blues and lights purples) with a bit of fun and romance too. Set in the beautiful Cator Woolford Gardens in Atlanta, there were many unique elements that brought this shoot to life…
This shoot was bold with colors, yet natural and romantic. There was so much creativity put into this shoot – for example, the florist challenged herself to think outside the box, and instead of purchasing the “perfect” flowers at the warehouse, she opened her eyes and found a blend of flowers from everyday and mixed it with eye catching floral to create a gorgeous bouquet. Although majority of the crystals were real, one of the decor designers “grew” her own amethyst to use in the backdrop. And the invitation designer hand-drew some beautiful geode inspired layers on the envelope liners and signs. And much more!
