Last Friday I featured Emily & Dustin’s woodsy waterfall engagement and I mentioned that I was a little late to the party, because they were wed this past October at the Harmon house in Kernersville NC. Well I guess I’m not as late as I thought! To my surprise while looking through my cue of submissions I found their wedding was also submitted. And I tell you I love their wedding too! Everything is just perfect, from their historic, intimate venue, to their fall inspired wedding colors.
This is what Shanna of Shanna Duffy Photography had to say about Emily & Dustin’s special day:
These are actually our ( my husband and I) best friends. We came to photograph their wedding when their wedding photographer called them to say she had double booked the day and then backed out. We were honored to take the job, and it was such a beautiful wedding!!! Emily and Dustin chose beautiful fall inspired colors and kept a vintage feeling without being too “themey” with it. The Historical home where the wedding was held: Kernersville’s own Harmon House, really added to the vintage charm and intimacy of the occasion. The highlight of the photography was the out of service train that was parked just down the street, which actually bears the couple’s new married name- Southern. We were able to take some romantic portraits with the train before heading back to the reception.
