I love, love, love Rachel & Matthew’s eclectic, bohemian inspired, backyard wedding, and I think you will too. It has a plethora of vibrant colors, an assortment of fresh posies, lots of personality, and an all embracing free-spirited style that I just adore. What’s even better is that it was all perfectly captured by Mandy Evans of Mandy Evans Photography & she is sharing it with us today!
From the Bride, Rachel:
How did you meet?
Matthew and I met at our local church that we still attend together about 4 years ago!
My dress I bought from David’s Bridal! It’s a Vera Wang as well as my veil. We added the flowers to the veil.
I didn’t really have a theme honestly. I like to think it was somewhat eclectic with bohemian inspired hints.
We were married out in the country in Aurora in our friends gorgeous backyard! We were so blessed! It was a SUPER SUPER hot July day!
I guess I wasn’t your ordinary bride as far as choosing my colors go! I didn’t really have a specific palette! I just knew I wanted it to be bright and colorful!
We got out flowers from our local florist (Crystal Creations) in Aurora, Mo. I couldn’t of been happier with them! We arranged them in the old mason jars and glass bottles we had picked up over time! I loved my bouquet!
We got our entrance doors and altar from Swept Away Rentals in Ozark, Mo. Scarlett was amazing coming down and assembling those in the blistering heat!
I don’t have a specific favorite memory honestly! It was a perfect day besides the heat lol! I loved having all our family and friends there together!
My advice for future brides would be to just have fun and relax! It’s one of the biggest days of your lives and cherish all of it! That statement is so much easier said than done but when it’s all over you will look back and see how everything perfectly fell into place and that those “little” things you stressed over the most weren’t really that important anyway! The important thing is that you came out married!!! Yay!
