Their Love Story told by Chelsie:
The story of Braden and Chelsie, which is me, begins on a spring evening in May of 2007. Summer break had just begun for me and all my girlfriends and we were looking for something fun to do one Friday evening. My friend Lizzie had got in touch with some guy friends and told us to meet them at this house and gave us the address. We all got ready and were looking all cute then we left the house and rode out listening to T-Pain with the sunroof open thinking we were some hotties. We pull up and that’s when Braden and I caught eyes for the very first time and luckily for me he was the guy with the nicest truck there, too! 😉 So we all got out of the car looking all cute and started mingling with everyone there. It wasn’t until later that evening Braden finally came up to us to speak and offered us some grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. I knew then that he would be my never ending crush! Later that evening we exchanged MySpace pages and then we all headed out because our curfew was coming up and Lizzie’s mother would be yelling for us soon. After we left Braden was all I could think and talk about and I just kept a frozen smile on whenever I would think about him. I then thought to myself that, on this I thought was just an ordinary night, our love story began!
Summer of 2007 goes by and we don’t see each other often after that. However, I would see his truck around town and my heart would just skip a beat, because I knew Braden was in it, not because his truck of course! Braden would send me messages on MySpace and we would chat about getting together and watching Georgia football, or going fishing, and then he finally asked for my phone number! Weeks go by though and no call, because it turned out he was out of town on a storm for his work. So one day I am sitting down with my family and my cell phone rings and I don’t recognize the number and my grandmother is playing around and answers the phone giggling, so I hang it up. The number then calls back and it’s Braden and I am speechless, and the butterflies are going crazy in my stomach. I walk away to talk and we end up talking for an hour.
That night my friend was having a party so I drove out there and told all the girls, and we were all just too excited! Later on he calls back, and then we went up planning a date the next night at Tokyo Japanese restaurant. After that every night he was taking me out to dinner and he then puts me on his top four friends on MySpace. WOW, I was a little too excited when I saw that. I called my friends on 3 way and we all screamed! Years went by and before I knew it we telling each other how much we love and care for one another, attending each others houses for holidays, and going on family vacations. Don’t get me wrong, we have had our up and downs along this love path. However, God made up his mind that we are meant to be together so every time we broke up we would end up right back with each other.
So in August of 2014 after college graduation Braden finally popped the question on the beach in front of both our families. We found our lovely venue, Barnsley Garden, in October of 2014 and married on April 4, 2015, the best day of our lives.
I will always remember the smile Braden gave me while walking down the aisle. It will always be frozen in my heart and I knew then that this magical moment is a start to another beautiful chapter of our lives. Later that night I also learned that my husband has some awesome dance moves on the dance floor!
Our wedding was amazing and something I only read about in fairy tales. The night couldn’t have been anymore magical.I never thought that I would still have butterflies when I see Braden or kiss him. I know I have found the one that makes my heart smile eternally! We both think about how blessed we are to have found our soul mate so early on and now can experience so much more together! There are plenty of love stories that I have read about, but our story is beyond the best and it is a never ending love story. And to think it all started by being asked if I wanted a hamburger or hotdog, I did take the hamburger though!
