Summer weddings and vibrant color’s go hand-in-hand, and this cobalt blue and yellow wedding is as vibrant and cheery as they come! Crystal & Logan’s rustic, country chic, wedding took place this past September at the woodsy Lazy Oaks Resort in Lakeside, AZ, and associate photographer April Weston for Brian Minson Wedding Photography was there to capture their special day.
Some words from Brian Minson Wedding Photography:
Taking cue from the woodsy property, the couple chose country accents to paint a picture of their relationship, utilizing trees throughout the property to hang plaques and portraits. During the ceremony, a picture of the couple’s much-loved and dearly-departed dog, Peaches, sat in the front. The portrait was later moved to a place of honor, hanging from a tree near the boat dock. The couple returned to the portrait several times during the reception to remember her.
Bringing in additional country charm, burlap was used on the bouquets and table decorations adding texture. In addition to wrapping the handle of her bouquet with burlap, the bride added the glittering touch of her grandmother’s earrings, marrying remembrance with a hope for the future.
From the Bride, Crystal:
How did you meet?
;Logan and I met about 17 years ago; we had always had a crush on each other. We were young and had a relationship that was off and on, but we had always remained friends, then after we had got older we lost contact for many years. And then by fate, time reunited us and we still had those butterflies for each other. Destiny then took place and we were together again, in love, and getting married!
What were your Wedding Planning Inspiration and Style?
A lot of my wedding planning and inspiration came from Pinterest, We love nature so we wanted a more rustic style but not to country. With of course a bit of elegance.
What are some of your favorite memories of the day?
Some of my favorite memories were: walking down the aisle, our “binding of the hands”, our first dance together, Mother- Daughter dance and sharing our special day with family and friends.
Do You have any advice for other brides?
My advice for other brides would be too focus on every moment, take it all in, don’t let time slip away, because before you know it, the day has passed. Also we were given this advice and I’m glad we took it– Take at least 5 min as Husband and Wife and step away from all of the excitement, look around, reflect, look at each other and remember the moment forever!!
