I can’t think of a better way to bid farewell to summer than with a “Midsummer Night’s Dream” inspiration shoot. This beautiful shoot was brought to life by event planner House of Flores, and captured by Branham Perceptions Photography. The gardens of Bartow Pell Mansion in Bronx, NY, set the perfect backdrop for an enchanted forest. And a lush, rich, palette of lovely pinks, mossy greens and gold combines nature with elegance.
From Marisa of House of Flores:
We found some brides that wanted an outdoorsy look didn’t necessarily want a rustic look. They liked the idea of being outdoors and having a woodsy feel but also wanted something soft and elegant. We feel this theme, the soft color palette, the setting and details accomplishes this by blending the two. We like to think of it as outdoor glamour.
The dress also lends itself to the theme by being soft and ethereal but also sexy and glamorous. We also find it is hard for brides to decide on a color palette in midsummer months like August because the time of year doesn’t lend itself to a specific theme the way Christmas or the Fall would. So we wanted to provide some inspiration for those brides struggling to figure out the look and feel of their wedding in midsummer.
We really feel the soft pinks against the back group of green, brown with hints of bronze add to this ethereal but earthy feel. We tried to pay attention to creating an interested contrast. Elegant gold detailed plated against large wood chargers, pink bubble cups against a moss backdrop; soft pennies against a picnic table. The setting was also a mansion with a beautiful garden in the woods. It was the perfect background for the theme and gorgeous that time of year.
